Kat Kiyoko AmanoKat’s personal mission, working inside an organization or as a consultant, has always been the same: to empower equity-minded teams to achieve and maintain clarity, grow in alignment with their values, and build a more inclusive, just world. Kat brings her executive experience as well as her deep project management background to help our clients create and execute their visions.
Before her transition to consulting, Kat worked full-time leading or as a member of executive and management teams. She knows first-hand the challenge of facing very real, high-stakes daily questions about funding, people, and priorities. To date, her efforts have helped organizations obtain and execute on more than $60 million in grants and contracts. She has primarily worked with not-for-profit organizations and tech-for-good social enterprises in public health, public safety, and youth services spaces. Since the mid-aughts, Kat has led project management training and/or implementation for over 25 different groups and led dozens of major change initiatives related to program delivery as well as core functions infrastructure like accounting, HR, and IT operations. Kat is a practicing Agile professional and has been a Certified Scrum Product Owner by the Scrum Alliance since 2015. She serves on the board of Project Ropa and lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two dogs, and way too many bookshelves. |
